The pancakes are too die for!! The service and food is great and they give you good portions for your money. Now I am not a fan of their homemade jam, it's not stellar, but everything else is great for breakfast. Going back for lunch and dinner. I'll keep you posted

I enjoyed this place so much that I brought a group with me on the next visit. I go out of my way to eat at this place. The "down home feel" is what's missing from most food places.

This place is great for breakfast. I love the assortment of breads and home fries. They have a sizable menu with a lot of variety. This place is consistent and local.

I've driven by Haney's many times and finally stopped in for lunch. Now I'm mad at myself for not trying this place sooner. The food was delicious and the staff was very attentive. The have a pretty good selection on the menu, not just your run of the mill diner items. Honestly, it was hard to make a decision - I'll be back there soon to try something else. Quality food at affordable prices.

wonderful! i have been going to Hippos for the chicago style hot dogs since i was a kid and this place has the same ones and it's closer to my house. i still plan to go to hippos but this place is a nice sit down diner feel. the waitress was incredibly attentive even though the place was packed. i will be back i wish they had later hours but i also wish there were 24 hour sushi bars around, what can ya do :)

We try to go out of our way to have breakfast here as often as we can. Never a bad experience and the homemade jam is to die for. Everything I have ever eaten here is top quality and service is always excellent.

Known in its previous life as a Howard Johnson's, this family diner is located in the 1.7sq mile city of Centerline, MI. The place has a very small town feel, where the waitresses know their local customers by name (either they went to school with them, live down the block from them, or they're somehow related), the decor has a dated vintage look, and it just feels like a country style Mom & Pop shop type of place. I've been here a couple of times for breakfast, and the omelttes, pancakes, crispy bacon, and their homemade jams are all pretty good!

I got recommended to try this place...I'm so glad I finally came in! Service was amazing, as was the food! I will definitely be coming back here. By the way, they even have homemade jam.

Love this place! Nice owner and staff and the place is always cozy and clean. Everything I've ever eaten here has been great. Their breakfast is definitely my favorite. Stuffed French toast, crepes, pecan encrusted pancakes, omelettes, veggy benny (eggs benedict, vegetarian style), and skillets are just some of my favorites. Their potatoes are wonderful, cooked up with onions and peppers. There is also a myriad of choices when it comes to breakfast bread including, but not limited to, biscuits, orange bread, and cinnamon rolls. They also make their own strawberry orange marmalade! Yum!

Okay Ive got a friend who says this is the place to go for clams, and since we were less than a mile away at Crest Ford, we thought why not! We pulled in & the lot was jam packed, at noon on a Friday, walked in & the place was alive with a vibe & a buzz, the owner Ross Haney, welcomed us & sat us, we commented as to why the big crowd? He replied, this is our steady lunch crowd, our servers & cooks have worked here for many years & we try to offer a good quality menu. Our server, was very kind , sweet & knew the menu quite well. My wife ordered the clam plate, which came with loads of clams, baked potato , soup & a very nice salad with much more than iceberg $11 I usually never order crepes, except at the Original Pantry @ 15 /Van Dyke, however the description of threes at Vern Haneys sold me, and boy oh boy did they deliver $7 very large platter or crepes, whip cream , fresh strawberries & vanilla cream cheese. As we finished up, the owner stopped by our table for some actual feedback, we mentioned we had a great server & a fabulous meal, he smiled, thanked us & shook our hands. No wonder the place is packed..the owner is present & cares

It's like a private club at Diner prices. If it were swankier I'd give it 5 stars (and I'd regret they'd have to charge higher prices).

LOVE their Reuben soup which is only available on Thursday. Or maybe it's Monday. Possibly Tuesday. The help doesn't seem to know. But if you're there when it's available, try it. It's excellent. The other food offerings seem to concentrate on breakfast or lunch since the restaurant closes at 2:30 PM except on Friday when it closes at 8 PM. The sandwiches are creative and tasty and do not disappoint. There is at least one 'dinner' item - Fried Chicken which is also good. Wish the place was open later during the week but glad it's open at all.

When I first moved to the area, I'd always see Haney's jam packed on weekends. It took me a while to get motivated to go in and try it out, but it was well worth it and I finally understood why there were so many people there! This restaurant tries very hard. You can see the effort poured into the business from the top down. Approaching the restaurant you'll see the well maintained parking lot and well manicured landscaping. Everything is clean inside and out. Inside, ample seating, smiling staff, a traditional stool / bar area, and just an all around comfortable atmosphere. I've ordered various items on the menu and have never had something I did not like. There are many creative dishes to choose from. You have to give this place a try!
